What We Watched This Summer
(links to items in these rooms can be found here)
I'll be honest, most summer nights you'll find me outside listening to music. Once the heat and mosquitoes take over, you might just find me parked on the couch watching my latest tv obsession. R & I found a few new favorites & caught up on some old ones over the summer. Below is what we watched and by all means, please leave a comment if there's something you'd like to recommend.
Ozark - Let's just say that once we started watching this one, we were hooked. Hurry up season two. If you liked Breaking Bad, you'll most likely like Ozark. The story is based on Marty (Jason Bateman) who goes from financial adviser to 'in above his head'. Marty and his family of four are forced to move to the Ozarks and launder money in order to pay back a drug lord. We were pretty excited to see Mike Tourek who used to work at one of our favorite restaurants acting as Ash. Congrats Big Mike!
Amy - A Netflix documentary based on the life of Amy Winehouse. It was both inspiring and heartbreaking to watch a young girl go from aspiring singer/song writer to famous in what seemed like the blink of an eye. Amy's roller coaster journey in and out of addiction, while painful to watch, gave me a new appreciation for her music. I liked that the film used actual footage from her life including scenes from the Grammy Awards, rocky relationships, and a recording session with Tony Bennett.
