My Christmas Kitchen
Friday's are normally link love posts, but this week I'm switching it up by sharing a few pictures of my Christmas kitchen. As I'm writing this post, it occurs to me that maybe you haven't seen the kitchen since it was painted white (Valspar white) way back when & the floors changed to oak from pine. So, no time like Christmas to just put it all out there, right"
When it comes to the holidays, my favorite decoration is fresh greenery. Our yard is planted with all sorts of shrubbery specifically for that purpose. A sprig of greenery in any vessel is one of the hardest working (and least expensive) ways to add a festive touch to any room.
In our kitchen, I added a faux wreath and a fresh boxwood branch to the open shelving. A simple faux Christmas tree in the bay window (kinda hard to see) surrounded by pinecones I collected in the mountains makes me happy.
fresh acuba & nandina berries
Every year, the faux garland with lights finds its home on the back of the banquet. At night it really does feel so cozy and festive! Chindo viburnum and lemons fill my grandmother's wooden dough bowl.
Christmas mugs, fresh citrus, and boxwood clippings add holiday cheer to our coffee station.
