Dior Men?s new co-brand collaboration with legendary Japanese streetwear label Sacai was revealed today. It?s no surprise, especially coming from Kim Jones ? artistic director of Dior Men ? who has successfully orchestrated a transitional new urban language for the House?s menswear line through countless collaborations with both brands and artists. Forever changed, the new collaboration sees a more democratic approach to luxury menswear, and in turn, changes the worldview of both the brand and the clothes.
In a series of images shot by Brett Llyod revealing the 57 pieces in the capsule, the partnership makes complete sense. As seen with the opening look, where bomber jackets trickle down in the same satin as seen as the House?s Summer 2020 collection, the technicality of Sacai elevates the structure of romanticism with a blend of the urban. The Dior Saddle in the capsule now comes in a tote bag style, with exposed nylon pockets and drawstring details prominent in its design.
