Skincare 101: Seasons Changing
The days have gotten longer and the night shorter which means warm summer days are around the corner?hooray!! Now is the time to look more closely at our skincare routine as the change in seasons means a change in our skin?s condition. What we would normally opt for in the winter months would be too rich for the Summer because the low humidity in the Winter can leave the skin drier and tighter than usual. While in the summer months the warmer weather can cause the skin to become oilier, and occasionally dehydrated often when the skin becomes dehydrated it pumps out more sebum (the natural oils in the skin) to prevent moisture loss.
One solution use a lotion instead of a cream, as lotions contain more water and water-rich ingredients and less oils than creams, or add a boosting serum to your favourite moisturiser to help penetrate deeper into the skin and don?t forget the SPF. Here are some skincare suggestions to help boost and protect your complexion for the months ahead;
Olay Complete Care Everyday Sunshine Light Sun-Kissed Glow SPF15: Moisturizer with a hint of a sunless tanner. Contains vitamin E leaves skin nourished, health and naturally radiant with a sun kissed glow.
No7 Anti-aging Shimmering Lip and Eye Screen SPF30: Aids in protecting the skin from the visible signs of aging, contains anti-oxidants to help the skin build its own defenses and helps protect against long term skin damage whilst giving the skin an instant shimmer.
