Simple Crate Makeover
It's that happy time of the month…..transforming Thrift Store Decor Treasures for a beautiful home!
My favorite way to decorate is by blending new, vintage, antique and thrifty treasures…. A nice, healthy mix for a happy home.
Each month I join a group of blogging gals to bring you treasures from around the country that we've transformed to hopefully inspire you to makeover items you already own or your hunted treasures.
Sometimes our makeovers are complex, but usually our goal is simple. We all need a little simple in our lives.
This month I'm bringing you incredibly easy.
Simple Crate Makeover
I recently picked up this crate at Goodwill for $1.49. It's really cute and already distressed. The writing didn't really fit my style so I tried to wipe off the chalk. Most of it came off, but no quite enough.
I taped off the front with painter's tape and sprayed a fresh coat of black chalkboard paint onto it.
I then created a simple vignette with grocery store flowers in mason jars for the win. I love how it turned out. The mirror is also a MAKEOVER that you can find here.
It's such a versatile piece. I can change the writing anytime. This may end up in my daughter's dorm room in the fall.
Don't you just love it when a project so simple can look so great AND only $1.49!
