Bonjour from a rainy and grey SW France,

We had a lot planned for day 3 of our deconfinement but we had not anticipated it would be raining today so these plans will be put on hold until the sunshine returns. The forecast for the next 10 days is improving and the sunshine will return on Sunday.

Day 2 passed with a hitch, French Boyfriend opened the boutique and was happy that all customers were wearing masks and I spent the morning ironing antique linen, which will start appearing on the online shop, later today.

In the afternoon we picked up our masks which had been preordered and we are on a waiting list for some additional masks. 
We are finding the cloth masks heavy and difficult to support so we have ordered the surgical type masks, which are now proving easier to source in France as it is advised to wear these when in contact with other members of the public and with family and friends.
Last night I noticed that one of our favorite boutiques in Bordeaux are selling some fabulous hand made designer masks so I have ordered a couple for us to wear on "special outings".

Who would have thought we would be having to worry about sourcing masks and staying well away from other human beings. The positive side of wearing a mask is that you do not feel inclined to greet friends with the previously obligatory kisses on each side of the cheek and nodding has become a normal gesture.
