Unless you've been under a rock, you've most likely heard about the Nordstrom anniversary sale.  This is hands down the best sale of the year!  The key is getting in on the action early.  Brand new merchandise is on deep discount for 25 days.  After that, everything goes back to normal pricing.  Early access starts today and runs through the 19th for cardholders.  (after that, the sale is open to the public) Honestly, that's the only reason I have a Nordstrom card, well that and the fact that I earn points with purchases that can be applied to future purchases.  I swore off credit cards years ago, but this one is perfect because for me because it is linked to my debit card.
