Give Your Décor INSTANT Character With Vintage Finds
While my husband was away on business, Chief and I spent a couple of days with Cindy Hattersley of Rough Luxe at her home on the California Central Coast. Staying in her beautiful home reminds you of the importance of adding antique and vintage pieces for a "layered textured look."
Look at Cindy's collection of jugs. Can you see Beau resting in the sun"This is where Chief and I slept. The crisp white walls look great against the darker beams.
Cindy and her husband, Steve, built this California ranch style home and raised their children here.Chief looks a bit worn out from keeping up with Beau! Cindy uses vintage linens on the bed.
We stopped for a nice glass of wine at Farmers Union Pour House in downtown Salinas. It's owned by Cindy's son and daughter-in-law. Cindy designed it and it has her cool vintage/industrial stamp on it. Stop in when you are in the area!
The next day, we headed to the Santa Cruz area where Cindy showed me some of her favorite haunts like Wisteria Antiques.
This place is so jammed packed with new and vintage finds...you really need to walk through all the rooms twice...or three times!
