This week, Olivia sparkled at the Footwear News Achievement Awards sporting two of her Chelsea28 pieces complimented by a velvet chain collar and schutz shoes. With such a fabulous outfit, hair is essential to compliment and standout without retracting from the entire ensemble. Naturally, OP turned to hair guru and extrodinaire, Lacy Redway (@lacyredway), to create a spectacular updo resembling a mohawk in the most fun and sophisticated way. See below as she shares how replicate this uber creative updo the standout at any event this holiday season!
I’m calling it a FUNhawk because anytime I collaborate with Olivia it’s always a guaranteed good time (we have the best chemistry!) Fortunately because she trusts me to do whatever I want it’s always fun creating new hairstyles on her. This style is great for those with layers as it’s meant to be messy. Any layer that falls out while you’re wrapping your hair up will help create the look.
First prep your hair with Redken 10 volumizing spray and rough dried her hair with my R session pro tools 2200 watt tourmaline ionic dryer. After her hair was completely dry, I sectioned her hair into three sections; first from the temple going towards the crown of her head, then to the temple on the other side of her head. Second, from temple to behind the ears all the way around to the other ear and last section is at the back of the head.
