Although it is Italian, I think the French love tiramasu as much as the Italians. This is a quick and easy dessert recipe and one of French Boyfriend's favourites....In this recipe any plain type of biscuits will do, you could even use chocolate biscuits it is really up to you.
The italians use pavesini which are like lady fingers whereas the French often use speculoos, the recipe works with most biscuits so you can use whatever takes your fancy.
I love the way that the French use a lot of verrines (glasses) to serve desserts, they always look stunning and chic at the same time. Tiramasu en VerrineIngredients (for 8 people):
500 g mascarpone5 eggs100 g caster sugar200 g Italian biscuits "Pavesini" 300 mls of very warm coffee30 g of unsweetened cocoa powder

Method :
Break the eggs, separate the whites from the yolks in two bowls. hisk egg whites with a pinch of salt.Carefully mix the mascarpone mixture and the egg whites together  with a spatula, mixing from the bottom up.In a dish, put a layer of biscuits, then a layer of the mascarpone mixture. Then another layer of biscuits, and finish with a layer of mascarpone....
