Fabric For My Thrifty Louis Chair Makeover
Deciding on what fabric to use in my chair makeover has been a bit challenging. Remember this is the chair I've had for a few years that I found at Hotel Liquidators for $59. It is a great chair with fabulous carving and style, it's just the fabric I want to change and also paint the wood frame. That brings up a whole 'nother can of worms too.
You might recall my inspiration board for this room. I want this chair to be an off white to go with the white sofa I have
I still think something in a white pattern is what I am looking for, but then I got this wonderful gray chair for Christmas. I love how the painted frame on this piece adds some interest to the room, especially since I want to paint the tv console too. I really like the weathered finish on this chair.
This is a fabulous makeover inspiration chair that I found. I also like that this one has a painted frame too.
I tried several different fabric samples for this chair, and it was hard to find something that had some texture or pattern that would go with the sofa and not clash. Whites are so tricky. Then I tried a remnant piece of fabric I had and I think it is perfect. It is a small pattern that is greige. Depending how you look at it, it is either a soft beige or gray. It looks perfect with the sofa.
The two fabrics play nice together.
This shows the white fabric draped on the back of the chair. I think the fabric is great,...
