Essential Oils Stenciled Box
Welcome to the very first monthly challenge in the Decorating Enthusiasts Style group. I love this group of girls. Not only do we love each others style, but we have become great blogging friends. You can find us chatting with each other daily about blogging and life. It’s quite a shame that we are scattered about the US. Stencil Projects
You’ll find the links to each of the projects below.
I’ve been using essential oils for about 3 years now and have grown to love them. I thought I had a decent stash until I got this box. It was a Christmas gift. I asked for it. You can find it (affiliate link) HERE.
I wanted one unfinished so I could DIY it!
When all was said and done she looked like this! I am very please with it and the fact that my oils are no longer tossed in a basket.
You will need the following supplies: (contain affiliate links)
unfinished box
sanding sponge
prestain treatment
stain
stencil
white chalky paint
stencil brush
spray sealer
Very lightly sand the box and remove all dust with cloth.
Apply a prestain to the unfinished wood. I removed all of the hardware first. Allow that to dry. Go by directions on the product.
Apply one coat of stain in the color of your choice.
I brushed the stain on with a foam brush. Let sit for about 15 minutes to penetrate. Then wipe of with a clean cloth. Let dry.
