Banded Basket Makeover
Welcome to Thrift Store Makeover Day! So far I've really been moving though my stash. This month's project is super simple. I like simple right now.
Who doesn't! Sometimes those are the projects that shine the most. This month's project is a…………
Banded Basket Makeover
It is the perfect look for many styles including my favorite farmhouse and cottage look on our screened porch.
This basket is actually an old trash can. It is in really great shape. I thought about leaving it as is, but decided to add a little spray paint for a quick makeover.
All you need is a spray paint color of your choice and painter's tape.
No rhyme or reason here….just tape off where it looks good. Then spray 2 coats of the color at the top of the basket. I did hold a piece of cardboard across the bottom of the band to keep any residual spray from across the bottom.
When you have the desired depth of color, let that dry and remove the tape.
My new hydrangea fit perfectly in the basket. After the fear of our last freeze, I'll plant it in our yard. As I move a few houseplants to the porch soon, I'll add one to the basket.
